Dermatology's Disastrous War Against The Sun

Last year, we ran a series of podcasts uncovering the plot against "Natural Medicine," and the attack on doctors who either found an untimely demise, or were forced to move their practices to Mexico. During that series, we also talked about the lies of skin cancer, and the truth about many of the "sun screen lotions" found to be carcinogenic.

To refresh your memory, there have been many companies that produce sun screen who have been order to cease operations, along with mass recalls because of evidence that led directly to the lotion being the primary cause of cancer. So once again, the American public paid for something to protect them, which ultimately harmed them. In 2021, All batches, or lots, of these four Neutrogena spray sunscreens and one Aveeno spray were voluntarily recalled this week by parent company Johnson & Johnson (J&J) “out of an abundance of caution”:

• Neutrogena® Beach Defense® aerosol 

• Neutrogena® Cool Dry Sport aerosol 

• Neutrogena® Invisible Daily™ defense aerosol 

• Neutrogena® Ultra Sheer® aerosol 

• Aveeno® Protect + Refresh aerosol 

Corporate officials stated “While benzene is not an ingredient in any of our sunscreen products, it was detected in some samples of the impacted aerosol sunscreen finished products,” J&J reported in a statement. “Consumers should stop using these specific products and appropriately discard them.”

Now to more blockbuster news. In a recent SubStack article released by "A Midwestern Doctor," he outlines "Dermatology's Disastrous War Against The Sun."

Some of the highlights of the story:

•Skin cancers are by far the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States, so to prevent them, the public is constantly told to avoid the sun. However, while the relatively benign skin cancers are caused by sun exposure, the ones responsible for most skin cancer deaths are due to a lack of sunlight.

•This is unfortunate because sunlight is arguably the most important nutrient for the human body, as avoiding it doubles one’s rate of dying and significantly increases their risk of cancer.

•A strong case can be made that this dynamic was a result of the dermatology profession (with the help of a top PR firm) rebranding themselves to skin cancer fighters, something which allowed them to become one of the highest paying medical specialities in existence. Unfortunately, despite the billions that is put into fighting it each year, there has been no substantial change in the number of skin cancer deaths.
